Grains — COT Reports

Select an instrument to view its full COT positioning chart and analysis.

Grain and oilseed COT reports track positioning in Corn, Soybeans, Wheat (SRW, HRW and Spring), Soybean Meal, Soybean Oil, Oats and Rice futures on the CBOT and KCBT. Speculative flows in grains are driven by weather, planting intentions, Chinese import demand, and geopolitical supply disruptions — while commercial hedgers (elevators, crushers, livestock producers and exporters) provide the fundamental anchor. The COT Index is most useful around USDA WASDE and Crop Progress reports, when positioning extremes tend to unwind sharply. Grain COT data complements acreage and yield analysis for a complete view of agricultural futures markets.
